Barb Pelowski Enamels and Patchwork

At the end of 2014 my business closed. I have exhibited at my final art fair. After 39 years of fairs, this fall I celebrated turning 71 and reaching semi decrepitude.

I have been having a lot of fun this past year. My husband and I traveled to Virginia, Williamsburg and Washington DC and enjoyed visiting many historic places. We were unable to straighten out Congress, however.

More recently we have enjoyed fall color in Michigan.

Last spring I took an online course on the Archaeology of Ireland to prepare for a trip in September to the Orkney Islands of Scotland and visits to many Neolithic sites there. My college friend, Mary and I had a lot of fun crawling into tombs and ceremonial sites, riding ferries to other islands and meeting some interesting people.

While at home I have been working on my personal projects, gardening and enjoying grandkids.

I want to thank all of my customers, patrons, clients and friends who have made my business a success. If you wish to drop me a note, I am still available at Barb@BarbPel.com

Here are some photos of my most recent adventures.

In September 2018 Bob and I paid a visit to Ireland, traveling in a small group around Northern Ireland and the North and West coast of Ireland.

We visited beautiful coastlines, islands, old churchyards, lighthouses, small towns and Neolithic sites. It was beautiful and relaxing.  Put Ireland on your bucket list!

By old Irish Brehan Law people sealed deals by shaking hands through a hole in this stone. If the deal was a marriage contract, it could be undone after a year and a day.
